Based on a little known Willkie Colins novel, is the story of a man called who falls in love with and marries Margarate Sherwin. What he doesn't know is that a friend of hers, John Mannion, has been having an affair with her to seek revenge on s brother Ralph who had an affair with his sister and died in an abortion atempt.
