After the death of their mighty male, the swamp pride is being hunted by two young male lions seeking to kill the pride’s cubs. Their mothers must fight tooth and claw to ensure that doesn’t happen. The Busanga swamps in Zambia is the here living lion pride every day in front of risky challenges: Although there are even in the dry season, an abundance of water - but we still have the big cats from hippos and crocodiles at night, and hunting is in the marshy terrain is anything but simple. But the greatest crisis of the animals is still to come: When is the leader of the pack killed by poachers, the three remaining lions learn to defend themselves and their offspring without the support of a strong male. And not long in coming: Two young males want to take the pack - but one thing they would just kill all the cubs, which were still conceived of their predecessors. The lionesses will fight with all means to protect their children from this fate. But can they win the battle with the invaders under the adverse conditions in the Busanga swamps at all?
