It was October 1984 in a small town outside Toronto; a young girl went missing; three months later, Christine Jessop's body was found more than 50 kilometers away from her Queensville home. After an intense police investigation, Guy Paul Morin was charged and wrongly convicted of rape and murder of his nine-year-old next-door neighbour. DNA testing led to a subsequent overturning of this verdict. On October 15, 2020, the Toronto Police Service announced a DNA match identifying Calvin Hoover as the one whose semen was recovered from Jessop's underwear. Hoover died in 2015.
